SEK'D Introduces New Software for the Prodif™ 88 PCI-Interface
Card for the Transmission of Multi-Channel AES/EBU Featuring 24
Bit/ 96kHz Resolution
New “1011” Software Provides Single-wire 96k and Dual-wire
192k
Amsterdam AES, March 22 — SEK'D
has introduced new software
for the Prodif 88 PCI-Interface
card for the transmission of Multi-Channel AES/EBU with 24 Bit/
96kHz resolution. New software provides support for “single-channel
double-frequency” mode, allowing 88.2/96/176.4/192 kHz mono
data over a single 44.1/48/88.2/96 kHz AES/EBU pair.
A total of 4 AES/EBU-connections are available using a breakout
cable. Up to four cards can be cascaded within one PC, giving a
total of 32 channels. The Prodif 88 is not only ideal for DVD-/
Surround- and
Multi-Channel productions, but also for the direct connection to
AD/DA converters and mixing consoles equipped with AES/EBU-interfaces
-- thus removing the need for troublesome format converters. An
integrated high-quality analog output allows convenient and flexible
monitoring of the digital input and output channels. The card can
also be synchronized from an external word clock source.

channel mode, allowing each channel to operate independently
of the others. • Supports “Zero-latency Monitoring
(ZLM)” feature, used in Samplitude and Sequoia. •
Analog monitoring output. • Inputs and Outputs able
to work at different sampling rates. • Flexible clock
settings, internal/external AES and WC. • Expansion
